Individuals interested in joining the Support Team MUST:

  • Be a US citizen and resident of Northern Virginia.

  • Be age 21 or older.
  • Have no criminal background record.

  • Possess a valid Virginia vehicle operator’s license.

  • Have a good driving record.

  • Be of such moral and ethical character as to be free to hold a position of integrity, responsibility, and authority, without compromise.

  • Be in reasonably good physical condition.

(Some LPCSTI activities may be somewhat strenuous or stressful and/or be undertaken in less than optimal weather conditions, including rain, cold, or heat. Applicants and members should be in good physical condition in order to participate in the full range of Team activities. However, physically challenged applicants will not be rejected solely on the basis of their disability. Many Team activities are conducive to performance by physically challenged individuals.)


  • Be emotionally stable.

  • Possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent (i.e., General Equivalency Diploma). Proficiency in a second language, other than English, is a desirable skill.
